Premier Asian Parliamentary Tournament

  • Junior Category

    All debaters 13-years-old and younger will compete in the Junior category.

    The Junior category will have 30 minutes of prep time and 4 minute constructive speeches

  • Open Category

    All debaters 14-years-old and older will compete in the Open category.

    The Open category will have 30 minutes of prep time and 7 minutes of speech time.

Tournament Format

Motions

All rounds in the tournament are impromptu rounds; there will be five rounds before the break. Debate teams will be assigned random sides every round.

Format

HDKN will follow Asian Parliamentary debate rules. The junior category will have shorter speech times to accommodate younger debaters.

Eligibility

Only debaters who have not graduated high school are eligible to join the tournament. All participating debaters must be in teams of three for the tournament. Iron Man teams are not allowed to participate.

HDKN is open to all debaters within the age range.
